Guest Hydra Roof and Pressure Cleaning Report post Posted May 24, 2015 Does anyone have suggestions for cleaning Metal Roofs? What % of SH, or is another cleaner a better option. Will be cleaning without actually walking on the roof, most likely from an extension ladder using a chemical sprayer. Chad Report post Posted May 24, 2015 I've found that 2% mix of 12.5 works well. I have only cleaned organic matter stains (from leaves etc.) Working from a ladder is a good idea Joe. I learned that the hard way!SafePro Roof Cleaningsafeproroofcleaning.net
laurawhite Report post Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) For me, cleaning a roof can always be challenging and a bit scary experience. I always clean our roof with the use of bucket of ½ cup of tri-sodium phosphate in a gallon of water. Take a soft brush, dip it into the solution and start scrubbing the areas with mold and mildew. Richard Frisson Report post Posted June 4, 2015 Is it painted aluminum or steel? If it's aluminum go 50/50 and rinse like hell, it will turn out amazing. IF it's steel watch out for worn painted areas. It will accelerate the exposed areas to further rust. Oh, don't go 50/50 if there is no gutters. Stay down at 3%. I did a average size roof like this and only used 15 gallons of mix, took 4 hours and made $2,400 bucks. I love metal roofs
