A 12 Volt Roof Cleaning Pump From China

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, check this little guy out http://www.ebay.com/itm/Diaphragm-Water-Pump-12V-80W-130Psi-High-Pressure-Car-Washer-Pump-/161510383689

Only 38.00 shipped, and it is 130 psi at 5 gpm. If this is true, it has 50 more PSI then any other 12 volt pump, more then a Fat Boy, etc, etc.

Someone who uses 12 volt pumps may want to try this, because IF it really has 130 psi, it will outshoot any other 12 volt pump.

Sadly it's only 1.3 gpm, otherwise I'd order a few to try them out.  Chris - you know that we go through pumps like crazy. Thanks for staying on the lookout!

Great Catch Ted, thanks for having my back :)

Good find, looks awesome and ships worldwide!

Problem is, it doesn't say how many gpm?

Did you see the 1/2 inch ports, and the freaking size of that motor ? Plus, it is a 3 chamber pump. If you blow up the pics, it is kind of hard to see, but I think it says 1.5 gpm, but this must be wrong. At 1.5 gpm, there is no need for 1/2 inch ports, 3/8 will do just fine.

Shit gets lost in translation sometimes, but it HAS to have more then 1.5 GPM flow

Great news. I emailed the seller and the GPM is 5.5!

See, I TOLD ya so :)

No bloody way with those big 1/2 inch ports, 3 chambers, and a huge motor, it could HELP but have some flow!

If it really does 160 PSI, at 5.5 gpm, it will spray like a Male Cat, in the Outback!

I looked at the info on ebay. The description states "Inlet PSI: 160 PSI [11 Bar] Max" and the label states "... SETTING 60 PSI". I did not further research it but my initial interpretation is that the 160 PSI is not the output but simply the maximum rated input. If a chem tank is feeding the pump (0 psi input), the output pressure may only be 60 psi.

There seems to be always something lost, in the translations ?

We THINK these pumps are Chinese Copies of American pumps, but that is not always the case.

These pumps may very well Chinese, that American Companies put their name on.

This is a 1/2 inch port, 3 chamber pump, with a large motor. It's performance IMHO, will be very similar toa Fat Boy, at less cost.

The ORIGINAL Fat Boy had the pressure switch set at 100 PSI, then they dropped it down to 80, and finally to 60 PSI, for better pump life.

Yeah, in fact I just purchased a 100psi, 5gpm pump and when I got it, it was a 60psi pump with 12mm ports.

I called back and they tell me that it's maximum open flow rate and can be dialled up to 100psi if you know what you're doing.

SERIOUSLY!!??

I thought when you buy a banana, you get a banana, but apparently these days you get a Turkey.
