Sodium percarbonate - results with a picture

Recommended Posts

There was reference to sodium percarbonate, sodium hydroxide and a few other things recently.  I FINALLY got around to cleaning my own teak patio furniture, and used sodium percarbonate (of course).  (It's the most mild cleaning agent that was capable of doing the job.)  Interesting enough, it's also known as oxygen bleach, yet what does the 'magic' on wood is actually hydrogen peroxide.  Very little pressure was used, yet the result were damn good if I do say so myself.  :-)

(For the record, we rarely offer our services on any type of wood, as the OP isn't quite where it needs to be to hit margin targets. Sadly this is an important topic that is almost never touched on in the forums.)

Being a "woodie" takes a lot of practice. My friends Beth and Rod from www.thegrimescene.com  are the wood experts.
