Roof Cleaning Virginia Report post Posted August 9, 2014 There was reference to sodium percarbonate, sodium hydroxide and a few other things recently. I FINALLY got around to cleaning my own teak patio furniture, and used sodium percarbonate (of course). (It's the most mild cleaning agent that was capable of doing the job.) Interesting enough, it's also known as oxygen bleach, yet what does the 'magic' on wood is actually hydrogen peroxide. Very little pressure was used, yet the result were damn good if I do say so myself. :-) (For the record, we rarely offer our services on any type of wood, as the OP isn't quite where it needs to be to hit margin targets. Sadly this is an important topic that is almost never touched on in the forums.) 1 Philip McCullough reacted to this

Roof Cleaning Virginia Report post Posted August 11, 2014 Ted, I assume you neutralized it with oxalic or something? Sure did Dave. Although the picture above was just from the sodium percarbonate, prior to any neutralizer/brightener (ie ox).
