Many of you may be unaware that Bronze has just as good chemical resistance as stainless steel to the roof cleaning chemicals, and costs less!

Plastics like Kynar or PVC are always best for fittings, however these plastic fittings can easily crack when stepped on, etc, etc.

Bronze is a lower cost alternative to stainless steel

I found it cheaper to use an inexpensive bronze quick connect for my sprayer than the original stainless steel one I started out with. Also I grease it at the end of the day to help extend it's usefulness..

Bronze is not always easy to find.

My bad. The coupling I was referring to that I purchase at Menards for $2.99 is brass not bronze.attachicon.gifsidepin_sp-12851.jpg

No "big deal", but please be aware that Brass does not have near as good roof cleaning chemical resistance as bronze, so that means you will just have to replace them, before they fail!
