Pacific Roof Cleaning Report post Posted August 17, 2013 We use the standard mix. We do this because we need to match the clean streaks left on the gutter faces from the roof cleaning. If its not as potent you can see it. We just use a small amount of the mix in a bucket, wet the brush, light scrub (wipe), dwell 3 min and rinse. A degreaser by itself does not do the trick but we use it when needed.

crappiecrazed Report post Posted August 17, 2013 Pacific, or anyone for that matter? When using roof mix have u ever damaged the finish on gutters??went into a pressure washing store the other day and the guy said to absolutely not do this because it will take the shiney sheen off the gutters and although they do come clean the shine will be gone.... i have only used f13....... im just curious because im assuming your using roof cleaning mix strength as well? Pacific Roof Cleaning Report post Posted August 18, 2013 The "shiney sheen"? Hmmm. Sounds like he's privy to top secret information. No I have never noticed a problem. New gutters are generally a baked on enamel. Wipe and rinse and there fine. Some gutters are painted. Wipe rinse and they are also fine.
Roof Cleaning Virginia Report post Posted August 18, 2013 We use F13 for an additional service and charge accordingly. To remove any clean streaks that we may have caused during the roof cleaning process, we use mix for that. Two completely different purposes.
Pacific Roof Cleaning Report post Posted August 18, 2013 We include Roof and gutter clearing as well as gutter face whitening on every house. We usually do a test section that includes the gutter whitening, which sells it . we reason with them that it does not make sense for them to consider paying somebody else to get up there and do those other things (Gutter cleaning and whitening) when we are already up there. I suppose its just a different way of accomplishing the same way, we just like to include it from the outset, it feels more complete. Of course we charge for it. Ted, do you not commonly get a few drips down the gutter face? we are pretty meticulous and usually do.
Roof Cleaning Virginia Report post Posted August 19, 2013 "Ted, do you not commonly get a few drips down the gutter face? we are pretty meticulous and usually do." Yes Eric, that happens to us as well, hence using roof mix to remove the drips marks with a brush. We chalk that up as part of the job for a great finish. But to break out the f13 and get them sparkling, that's an additional charge by the foot, unless you're a senior citizen or a vet. Then it's on us for the front of the home.. We're dong a job in the morning that includes our chemical "gutter polishing services" - $295. Their place is going to look great when we're finished with everything that we're doing to it. :-) So you include both gutter services as an option with the quote right? Good move ;-) We do the same with house washes. We'll quote the roof and you'll get an option for bundled pricing on a house wash for consideration. It sells it self quite a bit. I should consider the same for gutter services. 1 TBR Roof Cleaning WNY reacted to this
Pacific Roof Cleaning Report post Posted August 19, 2013 I figure they go with us because we are certified, licensed, insured and professional. When we get on their roof we do an inspection, cleaning, gutters, trim any branches on the roof etc. I figure that way they don't have to worry about paying another qualified professional to get back on the roof. Its easy for us to take care of it while we are up there and that has value. It would for me if I was in their shoes. 4 Apple Roof Cleaning (813) 655-8777, Roof Cleaning Virginia, DIRTY-ROOF.COM and 1 other reacted to this
Randall1022 Report post Posted April 21, 2017 The best way to clean gutters is with a blower and garden hose. You blow the gutters out, and wash out the downspouts.

Ultimate Roof Cleaning & Pressure Washing Report post Posted April 24, 2017 We use standard house wash mix. Works great, any gutter that isn't oxidized looks like it had just been painted. Once in a while I'll need to use soft tip brush. No big deal.
h2o spray Report post Posted April 25, 2017 F-13 all the way for us, pump-up sprayer and brush, makes cleaning gutter exteriors "Easy Peazy" We do not do gutter clean-outs (interiors) The one thing I do not like about using F-13 is on a hot day if we are not quick enough, paint will peel fast. I learned this the hard way, so now I use my ground guy to closely follow me on hot days making sure to rinse before drying. We have tried a few degreasers ( Dragon juice, EBC....) haven't found one that removes tiger stripping? 1 Roof Cleaning Virginia reacted to this
coastal1 Report post Posted April 26, 2017 F-13 here too. If caught in a pinch, spray nine works good too however, you better be fast with rinsing. Otherwise, the paint is toast...If the substrate below the gutters is brick and no plants/bushes within the area, I simply spray the same roof mix with a quick, misting application and rinse with a hose...Mike
