He wouldn’t. So, I assume it’s to “up-sell†or “Bait & Switch†? Once on your roof, he can tell you it needs replacing. If you say no, he can say “Cleaning will be $975.00″ So, it’s the perfect “pitch†to get bids in on roofing work! If he can’t sell you a new roof, he will at least be able to make nearly triple the money that a real roof cleaner would make. If he really knows how to clean a roof at all? ******* Most homeowners are unaware, that the roofing manufacturers specify exact cleaning methods and cleaning solutions, that may be used on their products, without voiding their warranties. They all say “DO NOT PRESSURE WASH†Seeing as how the roofing manufacturers not only make the product, but also stand behind it with a warranty, common sense dictates we listen to them. “We†being you the homeowner and myself and others, who are in the business of cleaning roofs as contractors. Here in Florida, for instance, the black stains that appear on a roof are the living organism ( Gloeocapsa Magma algae ) that will gradually reduce the lifespan of the investment you made in your home. Apple Roof Cleaning (813) 655-8777 Report post Posted March 29, 2013 Chuck, it is good for customers to know that Bergman Roof Cleaning can clean roofs under the roofing warranty down in Charlotte County Florida! We do a lot of warranty roof cleaning work up here, in our part of Florida. LOL, I will drive clear down to Charlotte County, but only to fish! It is much too far to come to clean a roof. HERE'S WHY:Back in around 1990, when everyone used landline phones instead of cell phones-I learned about Remote Call Forwarding numbers. I got a local number for Venice-Sarasota area 483-A local number for Englewood area 474- and a local number for Port Charlotte-Punta Gorda areas 255-Back then I advertised in all 3 areas, using a few different phone books, covering those areas. In all, I had like 5-7 different individual phone books at a time going. Having those local numbers for those town areas, made potential customers see me as a local. My home phone number is an oddball starting with 698 and only covers rural areas, the largest being Rotonda.Now, I physically can only work 2 days a week and then take 5 days to recuperate from the pain and tiredness.SO! To make a short story long LOL I don't advertise in any phone books now and haven't for like 10 years!Modern day people are used to hiring companies that run off of cell phone numbers, many of which are not even Florida numbers!SO! LOL I am getting rid of all numbers except my home phone, which is what all the other numbers ring in to, the 698 number.POINT BEING I'm visiting old posts on all the forums I have posted on and removing the 3 "Remote" numbers. If I leave them and a potential customer dials them-after I eventually shut them dow, they will get "DEE DAA DEE THE NUMBER YOU HAVE CALLED IS NOT IN SERVICE" Chances are they will then assume I am out of business and call the next roof cleaner / pressure washer on their list!It's going to be an enormous undertaking, but it will save me 2 things-$130.00 a month and 3/4ths of the telemarketer calls!
