I used Ryan McMonigal and my email was mcmo4861@stthomas.edu.  I think I tried to have my display name rmcmonigal.

I found it Ryan! I don't know what happened, but we did receive payment for premium membership from you, and for some unknown reason, the forum did not automatically make you a premium members, so I did it manually.

TYVM for letting us know about this :)

My name is Denny.  I live in Central Florida.  Im doing a cleaning job on the roof of my church.  Barrel Tile.  My question has to do with the solution.   Im mixing in a 55 gal barrel.   30 gal H20 20 gal SH and 40oz gain.I circulate the solution to mix before application.   When I get down to around 10 gals I think my solution has separated because it becomes very soapy and does not clean well even going over 3 or 4 times.  Thanks for all the great info

The solution will not seperate, once it is mixed, but always mix the soap and water first, then add the SH, if at all possible

Hey everyone, Matt here.  I'm currently full timing it at my current career, but as I plan on retirement I'm getting everything together to start my own business venture, which will be roof cleaning.  Just trucking along slowly but surely as I'm not in a huge rush at the moment, putting away as much knowledge as I can, getting the equipment together, making sure I can use it, modify it, and fix it, getting my marketing plan together, etc.  Kevin is actually putting together my custom air setup, so thanks Kevin for that.  I've got a big old check list of things I'm slowly working through, from the basics (stuff to shoot solution) to the accessories (personal protective equipment), and joining the RCIA was one of those checks that I can make on the list.  So get ready Chris, I'll probably be picking your brain in the future shortly :).  Oh, also I'm located a few hours south of you in Cape Coral Florida, so who knows, maybe I can visit you at some point.

Welcome, we will teach you the right way to clean roofs, suggest you leave the pressure washer for the driveway

No Chris, we go as far south as Lake City Fla and  north Tifton ,Ga

That's good to know Michael, that you do roof cleaning from Lake City Florida clear up to Tifton Georgia :) I drove through Lake City Florida awhile back, on my way up North, and there was a couple black guys making and selling BBQ from a roadside smoker trailer there. It was awesome BBQ, and they used some wood that was Oak with a little Orange Tree Wood mixed in there.

They also were selling real GREEN BOILED PEANUTS, not those God Awful Jumbo Peanuts. It was near the end of the day, and we made us a deal on 4 racks or Ribs, some pulled Pork and Chicken, and even some Smoked Sausage :)   Plus, a whole bunch of Boiled Peanuts.  I was on my way back home to the Detroit area, and put all the meats and peanuts in my cooler.  Of course, I had to get rid of most of my Beer, to make room for all that food, but the 2 Black Guys helped me drink it :)

I sure will Michael. We are driving up to Gainsville tomorrow, but we also have to stop in Weeki Watchee, and I am not looking forward to that :(  It is my girlfriends family (her sister and brother in law) and they drink a lot. I bought him a hat, it says "Instant Asshole - Just Add Alcohol", and that pretty much says it all.

He can become quite mouthy when he drinks, so it makes it uncomfortable to be there. Most Girlfriends don't appreciate it when you knock the snot, out of a member of their family ?

Go Figure :)

Hey guys. I'm Dave and located in South La. Just starting a roof cleaning business as a side gig and hoping to make it permanent. I have a few questions and would really appreciate any tips I can get. Starting out with a Rigid air compressor, a 28gpm pneumatic pump at 100 max psi and a 375gallon tote for chemicals and mixture. I have 200 ft of 5/8 in hose and trying to get my spray to about 70 ft. currently spraying about 35-40 ft. Looking at investing in a Master Nozzle too. What else can I do to increase my spraying distance? I want to be able to spray from a ladder or from the ground. Any help or advice would be solid.

Chris I just joined but don't show up as Prem member yet.

I'm just starting out in Salem Oregon and looking forward to having incite from my fellow roof cleaners around the county.  Kevin is helping me my pump and tsunami water separator.  I'm still on the hunt for a trailer, but hope to have everything put together by next week. You can check out my facebook and website just type in biosoftwash.  Any suggestions will be greatly excepted as I move forward.  Is there a certification process?  Can I use the RCIA logo

Look next to your name on the left, next time you post, it says Premium Member. Yes, there is a certification process, but you need some experience first.

Wow. I finally decided to sign up for the premium membership and I am sure glad that I did. Ive been looking through many of the post and I am amazed with all the great info. I do however wish there was more info on cedar roofs since I have a very large market for that in my area. Anyway, my name is Colin and I started Big Shot Pressure Washing in 2013 and have been growing rapidly since. We are located near Vancouver, Canada and service "The Fraser Valley". I am excited to exchange ideas and process with all of you during my time here. Hello!!!
