Ah yes , the price wars. As a contractor when I set upon a price I base it on many factors. As a shopper you may feel you want the best deal. BUT is the lowest price the best deal. Come on, you know the answer to that. It is no. I did a roof cleaning job the other day for a set price, the owner had said," I paid the same thing last year but the guy also did my house and driveway" ( the guy who looked like a pro, Pressure washed the roof after being told not to, He peeled off some paint from the door step, He broke an outside lamp and he never finished the house. What do you think this poor service was from? His price was too low, His experience was either non existent or his morals were. I redid the job for a higher price and well it came out great. I took the time to do it right, I charged accordingly. I am running a business, this means I have insurance, I pay my taxes, JUST like you!!! Why would you hire someone that doesnt. I'm just going to copy/paste what I posted on facebook for the benefit of our roof cleaners here. Dirt daubers. I've tried it all. I have/had my own method using a weak caustic mix, which worked great for daubers, but is dangerous and difficult to use. Bring in the dragon juice. Oh boy. Andy Vickers this stuff is amazing for daubers. Listen to me folks. We have some of the worst daubers you can imagine. A lot of the stuff people say to use, our daubers will laugh at, and you'll be up close with a toothbrush hand scrubbing like a clown. Not any more. Dragon Juice seriously erases these things like nobody's business. At 20-1 ratio they melt like a hot knife through butter. A little agitation with a brush, and they are toast. This is the holy grail of dauber removal. No damage to anything surrounding, no streaking paint from acids, no melting paint off aluminum with caustic. None of that. Check out the video.- 2 replies

Spring is finally here in Central Pennsylvania despite the unseasonable cold temperatures we are still dealing with. According to the experts, it could be a particularly difficult season for allergy and asthma sufferers. Over 40 million Americans who are used to dealing with spring allergies know that the end of March means the start of runny noses, watery eyes and other uncomfortable allergy symptoms In recent years, we have seen milder winters, which meant the early arrival of both pollen and spring allergies. Because we have had a much longer and colder winter, allergy season may start later and end sooner but, could pack quite a punch to the allergy sufferers in Central Pennsylvania while it is here. Oftentimes, the only way for an allergy sufferer to get some relief this time of year is to stock up on allergy pills and nasal sprays in an effort to minimize the suffering. Asthma sufferers are worse off than the average seasonal allergic person. Because it is typically the early spring that is the worst for asthma, doctors recommend asthmatics begin using their prescribed medications well before spring and spring allergy season begins. For those seasonal allergy sufferers who are not given relief from over-the-counter drugs, it may be necessary to take different measures. Newly available medications including immunotherapy pills work in the same manner as allergy shots have in the past. But there are precautions that can be taken to help ease the impending suffering of a person with springtime allergies in addition to whatever type of medications you would use to treat the symptoms of seasonal allergies. Brian C. Jackson cleaned this roof in Windham, New Hampshire 03087 because it was infested with and algae (black stains) called Gloeocapsa Magma. This customer contacted us because of all the ugly black stains on there roof that were getting worse year after year. After we informed them of what this algae does to the shingles and how it shortens the life of the roofing shingles, they wanted a price and the avalibilty of our service.
