I strongly disagree the distance you get out of a price pump vs a husky vs an aro is so small its not funny. Ill post a video proving my point most of them shoot within 2 feet of one another. Tips are most likely your biggest issue as talked about before but there is NOTHING wrong with the pump you bought. Kevin I know you sell price pumps now but its not fair to bash every other pump just because you don't sell them and you only sell price. I understand wanting to make a sale but the husky is a fantastic pump so is ARO and price is a small company with a slightly different air setup it WILL NOT shoot 10 stories like you list on your website. If you talk to any distributor that sells both they will tell you buy husky over a price pump! Do your research talking to other people outside of vendors on this form that don't have a motive and get some unbiased answers. So to the guy that's having issues look at hose length and nozzle size but don't stress out man because you have a great pump and you just need to tweak a few things.

Kevin I've done my fair share of research and contracted about 4 distributors and they all say the 1050 husky is much better than the Price pumps (they sell both). All 4 of them agreed. I understand you sell these so to each his own but when I went to your website you list this " 1” Pump. Poly/Viton. $1595. This is the beast we recommend for customers who handle very large projects. With up to 50 GPM of flow and the ability to handle vertical head lifts of up to 250 ft. you can hit a 10 story building with a 20 CFM compressor. "  There is no way on this earth you are reaching 10 stories or 250 FT with this 1 in pump. Hell a fire truck can hardly hit these distances so I don't understand why you are listing stuff like this unless its just to make sales off guys that just don't know any better. If I am wrong can you make a video with you hitting 10 stories or 250 feet?
    Thanks

Hey man how you have it set up is PERFECT IMO. That's how we run them on our trucks.  What I will say is 3/4 hose you will notice a small difference but its not worth dragging it around for the small benefit. Here is my suggestions and keep it simple.
    1. What size air line are you running should be 1/2
    2. With your nozzle try different nozzles and see what you like and never use a gun always a 3/4 ball valve
    3. On the Eaton Compressor your perfect running it at 90 PSI you can try it at 100 I forget the specs for the MAX PSI but I think we run ours at 100. WIth that being said without confusing you. The PSI You run is different than the tank PSI build up. For example your tank may build up 120 PSI then it reduces down to 90 PSI which it should. However the max PSI that tank can build up to is prob 150-170 ( 170 is the max for our big Eaton compressor) if you adjust that you will get more air rushing through your lines for more air flow your tank will drain quicker but you will get bigger burst. This is how air duct cleaning companies run their tanks. Talk to Tod at Eaton and he can explain to you how to do it and confirm what I am telling you so you dont think I am just making it up
    4. How much hose are you running? Sometimes 300 Ft of hose coiled on a reel with slow down your flow and distance because of how far it has to travel. For example if you had 100 Ft of hose and tried it vs 300 ft of hose you would notice a big difference.

Hope that helps man just a few ideas before you have to dig into some bigger issues. But that's just my thoughts on your issues since we run  the same set up on 1 of our trucks and don't have any issues. Please feel free to call me if you need help ill point you in the right direction. Also 3/4 hose is overkill and if someone says get a way bigger compressor I dont agree we have a really large compressor and the small Eaton one and you would be surprised and how little of a difference it made.
    Good luck man!

So ive NEVER once stalled a pump due to icing or to small of a hose. Like I said we ran 3/4 for a year and 5/8 and we love the 5/8. Yes you will get a little more flow and volume out of a bigger hose but if I had to guess I would say less than 3 feet of distance. If your worried about distance chance the size of tips your using to something smaller. That's by far the easiest way to gain distance and adjust your system just like when using a pressure washer. I would say 90% of our houses are 2 story houses with walk out basements so they are pretty tall and we don't run into any issues. Also we have 300 ft of hose on a reel. We get much better results with a shorter hose. I hope that answers your questions.

the flow is slightly less the distance is the same. The bigger the hose the more flow but I am saying its not that much of a difference IMO to carry around a 3/4 hose than a 5/8 hose. We did it for a year and 3/4 is a real pain to carry around all day. Once we went to 5/8 there was not a huge difference ( there was a difference but very small) it was easier to move around and at the end of the day I was not complete beat. Some guys say 3/4 is nothing to carry around however I am a young guy a former US Marine and it got old real quick unless I am just a huge girl. If you look at the weight of 300 FT of 3/4 hose then add in the the amount of weight of water it can hold its a ton of weight to be dragging around for 8 hours a day for a little more volume. Keep in mind 90% of our houses are 2 story with a walkout basement and you cannot walk the roof. So I am all for distance and volume but I just did not see the big of a difference.
  8. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic What Happened to 3/4" Eley Hose

yeah they will. Also flexzilla just came out with a 3/4 hose you can order them direct however its a great hose but only has a 2 year warranty where eley is 10 year or lifetime I forget. They are both going to be around the same price
  9. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic We Now Offer Price Pumps!

3/4 hose IMO is overkill. We went down to 5/8 its a lot easier to carry and really if you are using a 3/4 ball valve there is not a huge difference. 5/8 is plenty (we ran 3/4 for 1 year and 5/8 for 1 year). As far as systems go just build one that fits your needs. It will be cheaper, you will know how to fix it if it breaks, and it fits your exact needs. Before you buy stuff make sure you do your research so you don't overpay for products. There are a TON of places to find pumps, hose, chemicals, fittings, so don't get in the mind set that this is the end all be all.  For reels you can order direct from hannay or from John Cloud from gorilla reels they are not as heavy duty but they are not bad its a good cheaper option.
  10. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic What Happened to 3/4" Eley Hose

Hey Guys I talked to eley like 3 weeks ago we orders 400 FT of 3/4 and that's all they had. They are coming out with a new line of 3/4 but its going to be more expensive. Its suppose to be a full flow 3/4 ( even the fittings) and its going to be drinking water safe. The sales guy said its most likely going to be 20% higher than the old 3/4 hose because of the fittings and that its safe for drinking water. He said they are rolling it out on production so they are still making it they are just rolling out the new line. Also they said you will be able to do custom lengths so if you want a 200ft hose they will cut it to length.
  11. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic STOP Cooling Your AODD Pump Air Hose to Eliminate Recurring Symptoms

Your going to get mixed answered man don't over think it like Shingle Brite said. We have 2 rigs both with no more than a 15 ft lead and we have never got close to ice in the pump. If you feel better at night making a 100 FT coil then do it. What Lori posted is from the MANUFACTURE so it should hold some weight. Right now its 32 outside yesterday it was like 70 and we have had 0 issues. Having a long coil may trap water but 1. water sep catches most of the water and 2. your pump is not going to freeze lol so keep it simple man your not going to lose much by having a coil nor are you going to  gain a lot having a 10 ft lead.. Do whats easy for your rig.and make changes as you learn and grow. You will never know until you do it yourself because everyone is going to have different thoughts.
  12. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic STOP Cooling Your AODD Pump Air Hose to Eliminate Recurring Symptoms

just my 2 cents but don't run it through a water tank haha we run 4 1in air setups each with a 10 -15ft lead. Having a 75 ft coil just means it takes longer to hit the pump. I am sure someone will chime in and say how wrong this is but I am just telling you how it is. Our pumps have never frozen we have high humidity. We do run a water separator which takes out water but coiling 75 feet of air hose is just a waste IMO. Hell if your going to coil 75 feet why not coil 200  now there is an idea!
  13. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic What do you think of this pump?

Dont by used IMO buy new its not worth buying a used pump. There are a ton of places that sell air pumps and they all SHOULD come with a warranty. We only use ARO pumps and they are all backed by a 5 year warranty. Shop around do the research and find the best deal with good customer service.

Here is proof look at the model number and look at the green on the pump. Search the model number and you will see its PTFE/TEFLON

    Thanks Kevin
Few things I agree its better to rinse a poly pump it will last longer just like rinsing everything but you DON't HAVE to rinse it however its always better to. As far as what you said about the green and clear gaskets. This model number 6661AJ-3EB-C is the one with the Santoprene Diaphragm . When I look at my pump with the "clear" gasket that model number matches the pump. With model number  6661AJ-344-C matched to my pump with the " green" gasket this is the PTFE Diaphragm. So Maybe they switched it from last time you looked? I am not sure but how it was said was correct in the video I would be happy to try and take a picture tomorrow. But per my pumps and model numbers they match up with the colors...

so we are going thru this right now.. They order the tank for us and it has a catch basin as well. They said they would rather us not request a fitting towards the bottom but they will do it. The main reason they dont want to do it is if it leaks its a pain however they maintain the the tank so if it leaks they fix it.. We are using the pool pump. We use to get 300G totes and they had a 2in ball valve at the bottom and a top draw. We used the pool pump for that also but when you draw from the top you still have to prime the pump every single time. We just told them to make the port at the bottom and we will deal with it... I know that does not help you in your situation but maybe buy a cheap HF Compressor and a ebay cheap pump and transfer it that way.. Your price is still under 1k and its pretty easy to do

We replaced all our pumps already I mean the last thing I want to do is pay shipping on a pump and then have to pay for it to be rebuild again and then shipping back. It was fully rebuilt the 1st time and it crapped out. As far as parts being available I went to 3 different local pump companies that all do repairs and they sell that brand of pump. They said the pump is so old that its hard to find the right parts for it they suggested trying ebay for universal off brand parts since the pump was over 10 years old. So I am just saying a cheap ebay pump would last 9 months like this one but at a fraction of the cost. I mean our new ARO pumps brand new with Teflon ended up being like 100 dollars more than our 10 year old rebuilt kynar pump.
  21. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic High Volume Chem Transfer - ideas??

The reason I said the cheap ebay pumps is because we got a rebuild Kynar pump from you and it lasted 8 months before it started leaking like crazy and I think we paid 799 for it and now every local shop says its to old to get parts for so now its a paper weight. So the cheap ebay pumps are not kynar that's for sure but they will last 1 year so I can go 3 years of buying new pumps vs 1 year. That's all I was saying  On our rigs we now run new ARO pumps with Teflon and they are fantastic but for chem transfer I am all about cheap options like pool pumps, cheap knock off pumps, or even gravity feeding it however that's not the fastest option out there.
  22. Curb Appeal Pros LLC added a post in a topic High Volume Chem Transfer - ideas??

man just buy a cheap 1 in pump off ebay that's new and save money just rinse it use your air compressor on your rig to pump its you don't have to buy another compressor to run it... Your only transferring chem so why drop so much money to transfer that's just our opinion.  We now to mini bulk and have a valve at the bottom of our 100 gallon tank and suck it out from the bottom its fast easy and cheap.. If you want to spend a lot of money I am sure you can find a easy solution.

Imo run away fast... I've heard it works for some guys but overall I feel like it's a big scam.  Just our thoughts tho.  They route traffic thought home advisors and not your website so it does not help your seo plus your paying like 10 bucks or whatever per lead and a lead is a phone number no guarantee you even get a hold of them.. only way to know is try... We talked to a guy who dropped like 10k plus a year on leads and made like 40k from them alone which is great but I dont think that's the case in most situations
