Back in the day, the RCIA had a different URL. This post is from 2011. Our record in Heritage Hunt, Gainesville Va 20155, was 28 homes on one street!!! We did 10 roofs in one day, with one rig! The new(er) RCIA forum is great, but the old one has lots on significant information from back when folks actually did honest research. Check this out: http://roof-cleaning-institute.activeboard.com/t41873413/roof-cleaning-heritage-hunt-gainesville-va-20155-571-250-965/ Then check out our website and see for yourself why we're the leading Roof Cleaning Company in Virginia, Maryland and the great Atlanta Georgia area! It had the consistency of water after it froze, so I just set it aside and grabbed another 5 fiver that I had climate controlled. I doubt seriously if it's any good.

100% sales gimmick. You were simply outsold. Chalk it up as 'tuition', up your honest salesmanship, and move on the next leads. But LAND them. :-)

A FUNCTIONAL FB Group?
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to Roof Cleaning Virginia's topic in General Discussion
Only if you'd enjoy it Chris. You seemed to enjoy the forums during their hay days. I don't know that there's much value in it otherwise. It'd be nice to have a group that isn't all about product placement for nothing more than branded (common) chemicals and doesn't allow some of the childish antics. -
A FUNCTIONAL FB Group?
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to Roof Cleaning Virginia's topic in General Discussion
It gets better... PA and DA here are high. Get them all, but some are higher than others..... -
So, FB has pretty much killed the forums. For the most part. Those of us that know the power that these forums offer today, not to mention the benefits years ago, continue to hang out here. Those that don't simply don't know any better. If you're scratching your head at that comment, consider yourself included. CHRIS - FOR PETE'S SAKE - please start and LEAD a FB group that is for professionals only! It's like a friggin' Jerry Springer show out there! For those STILL scratching their head at my comment above, ask me about it in the premium section and I'll explain it.

Proportioner?
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to JJS1379's topic in Non Pressure Roof Cleaning Products
I presume your phone is ringing off the hook? LOL. Can't say I didn't try. Personally, I see opportunity. More to follow at a later date. -
Cleaning Gutters ?
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to Apple Roof Cleaning (813) 655-8777's topic in General Discussion
Roy - that's a great pricing methodology! You can provide quote for gutter cleaning sight unseen. Very wise! If we ever take on this service, I'll follow your lead on that. -
Sharpening the saw for 2018!

Glad to hear it Chris! As an aside, of all people you'll appreciate this pic. Spiders, spiders everywhere!! -
Proportioner?
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to JJS1379's topic in Non Pressure Roof Cleaning Products
If your phone is not ringing, if the leads are not rollin' in, then at THIS STAGE of your brand new business, your time, money and effort is better focused elsewhere. Good luck! -
Proportioner?
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to JJS1379's topic in Non Pressure Roof Cleaning Products
I can think of a million others things that your time and money are better spent on while you're just getting your business off of the ground. Once you're rockin', and want to gain some additional efficiencies, then yes, it's a great option to have on your rig. I think I have about $30 total in mine. Very simple concept, been around for years and there's no need to re-engineer it. Focus on the business end of the business and tweak operational efficiencies second. -
You've got mail, Grasshopper! :-)

I'd highly recommend your initial strategy of the 8 gpm machine. (I have 3 of them, yet my next one will likely be a 10 gpm machine!) And we primarily clean roofs....... And if that means you go 12v for a while due to budget limitations on the other set up, so be it.

Rather than spending the winter goofing off in Florida as I've done for several years now, this year it's all about upping our game even more! Man, it's already paying dividends as we've just closed $5275 in business between yesterday and this morning alone! The economy is on fire and consumer confidence is soaring; What are you doing to improve your bottom line for 2018?

home owner roof
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to will's topic in Softwash Systems For Roof And Exterior Cleaning
Will, by the time you buy everything, locate and buy chemicals, know what to do to prevent landscape damage etc, you *may* be better off having someone do it for you. Where are you located? Perhaps one of us knows someone in the business near you that will give you the RCIA price hook up?! :-) Just a thought. Certainly nothing wrong with DIY around the house. Mistakes can be costly though. -
Like a picture or a custom graphic on our website? Simply reach out and ask, and we'll likely give it to you or loan it to you. We've done that for quite a few folks. No need to steal it, and then parade it around on the internet. Good grief. Have a little self respect even if you have none for our business. I've had a number of folks reach out over the years, asking to 'borrow' pics. In one instance, a broker actually offered money for the rights to use them in his locality, which I humbly accepted. Hell, I can think of two images on our own website that I borrowed. Why? Because they were good that's why. But the important thing is permission was obtained. And to think I've sent business to this clown. Not any more. In fact, I think we'll expand our service area a bit....... a missile across the bow as they say :-) (BTW - I think that the pics that the broker bought from us were the first ones in the rotator on our main website) A little common decency goes a long way.

New roof pump variant!!
Roof Cleaning Virginia replied to Roof Cleaning Virginia's topic in Become a Premium Member
Still using the 'new' variant of the 5850 Justin. (I typically buy 6 or 8 at time, so we're committed for a while.) We've used the Fatboys with much success in the past, but have stayed with the 5850s for a number of years now. This is due largely to cost (5850s are cheaper of course) and our application method. You'll definitely want a back up/replacement on hand. Our line of work tortures these 12v pumps and they WILL fail on you. -
No need for all of that Rick. Run 2:1 instead of 3:1 on your proportioner / chem combiner / whatever it's called. ie 2 inputs to one output. One input with SH AND SLO MO, and the other with water.
