  2. Hey there guys. Names Key. Complete newbie to pressure cleaning houses but I intend on starting my own small side business. I've pressure cleaned a few houses with a friend maybe a dozen or so. An I am not impressed by the way he cleans the house. He uses a wand and does by hand on deep tiled roofs or on shallow tile will pass a surface cleaner. I've notifed when doing this a lot of pieces of tiles that had hairline cracks on the corners getting dog eared and having to fix them. I'm much more interested in soft washing so I'm here to learn. I've read tons of threads and posts on pretty much everything as far as buying your own skid setup to a DIY. I'm more interested in a diy cause I like to know my equipment. As far as a little about me. I currently am from SWFL near Ft Myers Cape Coral Estero area. I do Marine Construction for a living for my fathers company that he's owned for about 30 years. We do anything from docks to sea walls break waters Jettys dredging demolition you name it. I have weekends that are free so if I could pick up a house or two over the weekend here that would be great. My area Is full of dirty roofs with mold covered on them with tile and shingle roofs. Looks like money just hanging out on the roof so why not go get it. If anyone can point me in the right direction I already have a water tank and trailer. Water tank is decent size so judging by what I've read i need a pump (electric or air) most the houses here are single story so don't need crazy distance to start with. Possibly another wash down tank but i seen most only use the tank for equipment wash down not the house so it doesn't have to be a big tank. Than 200 ft of house sprayer and nozzles. I plan on just building my own frame/skid type deal so I can just pick it up with our forklift and place on trailer dual axle. So as said before if anyone could recommend some brands I don't want the best. Just something to start with than I'll upgrade eventually. Thanks all an if I get the help I'm looking for I'll gladly become a member this site has been very informative
