Statement on the Fluidall Tote A Lube Tanks.
For several years now I've been recommending and using the square stacking sealed design Tote A Lube tanks in my rigs. The design solves a tremendous number of problems in the mobile cleaning industry. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.
Fluidall has made a decision to switch to molded in stainless steel outputs in all their tanks. Despite numerous discussions, there is no way to make the tanks work for chemical transport in our industry.
I've exhausted all options with Fluidall and can no longer recommend or sell them for chemical transport. I believe it is short sighted on their part to ignore a very significantly sized  marketplace which was just starting to take hold. I am searching for an alternative that is reliable and well constructed.
Meantime, I am purchasing the remaining NOS supplies with the plastic output ports from a large distributor, so if a Tote A Lube tank was what you have specified in your build, contact me for pricing.

Drop sticks are evil. Seal your tank.
  5. PeakOfPerfection added a post in a topic Manifoldness Roof Cleaning Specific Reels

Here is the issue, in order for the hose to fit through the hub end it has to be a certain diameter. To be a certain diameter requires a certain bearing size. To fit a certain bearing size requires s certain frame size. And a certain frame size in Hannay's case is big. That being said, Hannay reels are custom built. Call me with your dimension limits; width, depth, height, and I'll see if they can build something to fit. One thing to remember though is that they won't compromise strength.

I agree, I was calling them fascia as well but since have learned a more known term is rake boards. I think barge boards is more of an older term. I could be wrong tho. This is what google says...
.. A rake board. It's not just what you use to clear your lawn of fallen leaves. On a gable roof, the rake board, or fascia, is the slanting edge at the end wall of the house.

I wear sneakers on the roof usually. Just some cheapo wal mart sneakers, they wear out fast but they usually grip pretty good. For tile and metal, I have those frog grips above. Those suckers stick good on those surfaces. I didn't feel as confident on loose granules with them but for tile and other stuff, they are awesome. They fit funny though because they have an odd shape for the toe area.

Is there enough material around them to drill them out and re-tap the threads for a larger size?

Hey Kevin, im still deciding on a chemical hose reel for my trailer build. can you tell me if you can get a regular normal size manifoldless reel from haney? it needs to fit 200 feet of 3/4 inch hose.
and can you get me dimensions so i can make sure & see if it will fit on my trailer?
i contacted hannay and they told me that they cannot make a regular normal size manifoldless reel that will fit 200 feet of 3/4 inch hose. they said to fit that size & length hose that the reel has to be a giant one like the big red one in your video. and that size reel won't fit on my trailer.
do you know if this is the case or not?
    thank you.
PS i can't PM you on this site for some reason it's not working. so that's why i posted here

yeah i contacted fluidall they are the makers of the tote-a-lube tanks and they said they changed the design and the new tanks now have stainless steel threads and they no longer make them with plastic threads. they called it an "upgrade". i told them it's not an up grade for roof cleaners lol.

Before try to figure out how not to give your guys unemployment. Take a look at how cheap it can be to give it to them. If you have guys who are loyal(hard to find)why not try and take care of them in the winter

    These have a great grip.
Mine are a bit loose so they may run a little big.
Stuck in a drugstore gel foot bed so they are super comfortable all day.
Only one complaint. The top of the boot can rub and irritate your leg so a longer sock is necessary.
The next pair I'll order a size smaller.

I have these for this year but haven't tried them out yet.
Shorter and less bulky. I don't think the grip will be as good but not so boot like.
They look better too me. More of a summer look, rather than wearing winter looking boots when it's 90 out.
We will see if they stand up as well.

I would be glad if you could get on that for me. Lol. Just started my third season this year. We've been growing at a good pace. I'm expecting this to be my full time career within the next couple of years. Then I'll be buying more cougar paw pads.

Wow, if we can get the stuff like "King" syrup, that would be awesome. Of course, applying it would be a real pita....

I guess I'm gonna have to try some too. I have a "homemade" surfactant concoction that is so thick it's hard to swirl around in a bottle and it sticks like glue.....If Slo Mo is better than that, I'll be a customer from now on.
  21. coastal1 added a post in a topic Slo Mo Softwash Surfactant is the BEST!

Excellent deal Ted.... I'm gonna have to give it a try. We've got some really steep roofs around here and the Bandit loves throwing the mix like there's no tomorrow.

LOL!!! Thank you!! Made me laugh!
    Will do!
One of my more outspoken users of SLO Mo was blasted away by switching from Gain and Dawn and came up with nicknames for the surfactant.  He sent the following message to me:
"The Slo Mo works so well that we came up with nicknames for it such as.....hold your f$&king horses, wait just a goshdarn minute and finally get your ass back here !  LMAO".
(I hope it didn't offend anyone.)

Instructions?  We don;'t need any stinking instructions  :-)  Seriously, I never read any instructions.  Today about 10 oz of Slo Mo to 100 gallons of roof mix.  It works AS ADVERTISED.  Lori, please PM with what I can expect for shipping charges on a 55 gallon  drum.  TIA!

Mix ratios to begin with and then cut back:
50 gallons of recipe:  Add only 4 ounces SLO Mo
100 gallons of recipe:  Add only 8 ounces SLO Mo

Thank you for the very honest feedback!! I would love to get the word out to more guys so that they can experience the true savings.  Guys have reported that when they dose the SH directly, the longer it sits, the better job it does of almost encapsulating the smell.  I do always recommend buying the fragrance direct from the same exact places where the other pre-mixed distribs buy to save yourself a REDICULOUS amount of money!
Guys have said SLO Mo makes it 'stick like glue'.
