Hi everyone im Eric with freedom construction. I am new to the roof cleaning game. I worked for a roofing company for a few years and recently decided to start my own business. I dont know how many times i had previouslt told a customer the only way to get rid of the roof stains was to replace the roof. I stumbled upon the roof cleaning process a few months ago and have decided to take the plunge. I have done a little research and as far as i can tell no one else in my area even offers or advertises the service. I am in between tyler tx and dallas tx and am planning on hitting the entire area. Im wanting the soft washing to be my main service i offer and try and get away from the majority of other services i currently offer. The roof cleaning seems to me to be a better and faster process to completion and payment where as roof replacment and general construction is usally a few weeks to months on completion to payment. I am new to the whole process but i have a general understanding on how it all works. The main thing i am needing help with is advertising my service ans where most of you guys are getting your leads door to door, mailers, billboards, etc.  My biggest thing is to be the first in my area to offer the service and advertise well and not waste money on the things you alll know dont work.

So our monthly SEO is 0!!!! that's right 0. This is because we are not buying back links and the SEO is built into the site. To keep it ranking high we do blog post and update it with pictures and things like that. So I would find out what your 400 a month is doing for you and maybe its not needed. As far as what the site cost. Its a lot cheaper that other places. I don't want to throw a number out there because it really depends on what you want to do. She can build off your current site and rewrite the content in a SEO format and it would be MUCH cheaper than building a site from scratch. Give her a call she can quote you a price!

    Welcome!
The Roof Cleaning industry isn't for everybody. But guys who take it seriously are earning a very nice living doing it. As long as you pay attention to detail, safety and get to know the technical ins and outs of the roof cleaning process, plus are willing to invest your time in equipment, safety and marketing, then it can pay off handsomely. As with any new endeavor, you need to be willing to put the time, effort and due diligence into it.

    Hi to all,

First I would like to let you guys know I never, ever encountered a passionate forum and members that truly want to help each other in any other forums that I visited. Second, my name is Robson, 56, Charlotte, NC. I do speak three languages (Brazilian Portuguese – born language, Spanish and English). I am a new forum member almost ready to become a premium one. At my age beside been in a good shape, I find myself, completely unable to find meaningful employment around Charlotte. 2017 will be to change my future...knowing full well that future means creating my own future which has led me to roof/awning/building soft washing - after searched for all of viable and realistic options. I thrive in an environment where no two work days are exactly the same (sign/awning installer, mobile auto detailing and awning cleaning) and moving to roof cleaning seems logical, profitable and fun.  I have much to learn, but know my hands on installation and cleaning experiences will help achieve it. My goals are to get better in marketing and branding my company, get trained in roof cleaning and move to Orlando, FL.- by June 17! Last year I opened www.masternance.com (I did create the site and I’ll be changing it to include the roof soft wash service) but I didn’t promoted or start work yet. To finalize this long introduction and to make sure this is the right direction, I would like to ask: am I doing the right thing by get into the roof cleaning business?

    Thank you guys.

    Robson

PS. I’m so glad to have found this forum!

This page http://lowpressurewash.com/about-us/ has logo's from the UAMCC and RCIA on it, and those Logo's need to be made into clickable links!  Outgoing Links are quite important for SEO, as long as they are RELATED. So, for the UAMCC Forum for instance, like to the Roof Cleaning section of that forum.

USE 30 SPF LIP PROTECTION. I HAVE LIP CANCER!
I have been having small cancers and loads of pre-cancers removed yearly for the last 15 years or so. It's gone to 2 x a year the last few years-but always face, forehead, neck, shoulders etc.
Then, I noticed some very tiny pinholes in my lower lip about 2 months ago. My GP didn't know what it was. I saw a dermatologist and it's lip cancer. Just did 21 days of Flurouracil 0.5 % it ate my lip up plenty [ Flurouracil  only attacks cancer or pre-cancerous skin cells ] but the pinholes remain!
Can't see my derm again until Tuesday and of course, I'm worried now! = Surgery?

no you have a 3/4 ball valve hooked up to your chem hose.. THEN on the other side you would have say a 3/4 2in nipple. Then you need to reduce that down to 1/4 so you can put on your 1/4 quick connect for your banger nozzles.
  18. Advantage Roof Cleaning added a post in a topic What type of roof is this?

    Jeremy,
From the photos it appears as Vermont slate which cleans up great. Use a little extra surfactant since the surface is relatively smooth and the solution runs down quickly.

We started out using a spray wand. Unfortunately it is very delicate and after you drop and break it a couple of times you will want to switch to a ball valve.
  20. Advantage Roof Cleaning added a post in a topic How to run a 12 volt roof cleaning pump w/o a battery!

On my rig, I have a battery charger wired to the battery. At each job site, we plug the charger in to the customer's outlet. That keeps the battery at or near 100% charge. And if for some reason a customer doesn't have an outlet, the battery will be sufficiently charged from the previous job.

You go from 3/4" ball valve to a 2" wand that reduces to 1/4" ???
I will be using the 1/2" Yamada NVT with a 5/8" chem line utilizing the Eaton 9 HP compressor... Hopefully that'll do the trick ... From what I have studied... It should pump out nicely...

Hey guys so we just re mastered our new website http://www.lowpressurewash.com. First off its a word press site. We made one from godaddy.com using website builder. For starters the website builder from godaddy is really user friendly and fast however it sucks for several reason. The website builder is no a word press site what does that mean? It means you cant integrate blogs this may not seem like a huge issue however having recent and updated blogs on your website help your SEO ranking. The 2nd major issue with website builder is that its limited to how custom you can get it. There are a ton of other reason but these are the 2 main things I did not like about it. Something else to keep in mind with SEO it that its always changing and google wants the most quality content out there not " black hat SEO tricks" to show up because then they are not adding any value to their customers. SEO is very confusing and you really need to hire someone to do it for you. I thought I knew all that I needed from 1 audio book and maybe 20 hours of research, man was I wrong. After meeting with Debbie I found out that we were  doing some of the biggest Google and SEO mistakes. One of the mistakes I made ( which I thought was great and so cleaver later I found out it was a big mistake.) On my main page I typed in like 50 keywords and then I highlighted the text and made it the same color as my website background so it did not look stupid on my website" Most of you are thinking man what a great idea I never thought of that or that's a great way to fit a lot of keywords on your website without looking tacky. Anyways that's a big mistake and google will punish your website for doing that because 1 for  key word stuffing and 2 your being misleading. My point is just because it makes sense to you does not mean google will agree.
So my new website it amazing and I thought my old site I made was great but I was wrong. Check out our site http://www.lowpressurewash.com and see what you think. She made our site really fast and the best thing is I did not do anything. I told Debbie I wanted a modern slick looking website that had good information on it. A few reasons to hire a pro and Debbie. For starters she looks out for small business so its a lot more affordable than hiring the companies that call you 100 times a day telling you how they are going to get you on the 1st page of google. 2nd shes really fast and can get results on your webpage, she will keep you in the loop for the whole process allowing you to put in your input. I mean she even took our website photos if that's not customer service I don't know what is. She also made our website SEO friendly and now we are getting found a lot more on google due to how she build in SEO to our website. ( a lot of companies will just get you a lot of back links which does not help you in the long run and google is getting away from that slowly) So if you need a website and you want to get found on google and by customers then call Debbie. She already knows our industry and has done her research on what us roof and exterior cleaners need.

    Cost VS Reward
The cost depends on what you want. Some sites are going to be more than others, but how crazy do you want to get? When you need a service done or you want to buy something where do you go? Most of us go to google or good ole craigslist to find or buy a local item or service. Now if your not being found on google how much money are you losing? Without breaking the bank you can get a new website be found on google and start generating income long term. I know upfront cost are scary when you don't get results next day but I just got a call from someone finding us on google and its a $1900.00 concrete cleaning job and I would have never of got it without being found on google. My point is you need to stand out from Joe Blow with a pressure washer, pump sprayer and a pick up truck. Spend the money, look professional, and offer a quality service and you will make money! So What are you waiting for?

What type of roof is this?
I'm going to give this local bank a price to clean their roof but I wanted to get your thoughts on what type of roof it might be and how to clean it. It looks like slate from the ground but I'm assuming its a composite of some sort. Is this cleaned like asphalt shingles or would a lower mix be the way to go?

I used a spray gun at first.. Its easier to hold and use but they are only 1/2 so you restrict flow and when they break its expensive I think the guns are 30 bucks each plus the pvc parts you have to buy. We use a 3/4 ball valve and you get WAY more flow than you do out of the gun. So we use the ball valve you do have to use 2 hands but how much flow you get out of it is worth it if you ask me. We use a banjo 3/4 ball with a 2 in pvc nipple then we reduce it down to 1/4 to fit out banger nozzles..
